History

Sultan Ahmed Shah in 1411 A.D. who laid the foundation of a very new city and named it Ahmedabad after the four saints in that area by the name Ahmed. In 2010, Ahmedabad was also ranked third in the list of well-known magazine Forbes as one of the fastest growing cities of the decade. In 2012, the popular Journal group Times of India choose Ahmedabad as one of India’s best city to live in. In 2017, the Historic City of Ahmedabad or also known as Old Ahmedabad was declared as India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City.
